Michael began his financial career with Merrill Lynch in 1992 as a Financial Consultant and Peer Trainer. Prior to joining Umpqua Investments, Michael was a Senior Vice President and Manager with Smith Barney in New York City. Michael maintains his NASD Series 7, 63, 65, 9 and 10 licenses.
Michael has been the trusted advisor for non-profit organizations, foundations, large and small businesses, as well as high-net worth individuals and friends and associates. He will provide a thoughtful, consultative approach to planning your finances.
Michael was born in Nuremberg, Germany, to American parents, who were stationed there during his father's Army service. When they returned to the United States, Michael was raised in various places in New England.
He attended Choate, in Wallingford, CT, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania.
Michael recently relocated from New York City with his wife and four-year-old daughter to join Umpqua Investments. Michael was active as a board member and volunteer for several non-profit organizations in New York, and plans to be equally active in his new home of Portland.
