John works with individuals to help them understand and take control of their financial concerns. He also manages assets and provides consulting services to retirement plans, pension plans, and small companies. His goal is to build partnerships in which informed investment decisions are made and a customized investment program developed to meet his clients' needs.
John joined Umpqua Investments in 2009 after 16 years experience advising investors with Smith Barney. He also worked in corporate finance with various banks in New York City, San Francisco, and Los Angeles for almost 19 years before joining Smith Barney.
John is a native of St. Louis, Missouri, and graduated from St. Louis University with a Bachelor of Arts. He also holds a Master of Arts from Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration from Pace University.
John lives in Portland with his wife and three dogs.
