Don brings experience and a reputation for honesty and quality work to every client relationship. He invests time with each client to understand their financial goals and objectives, and to identify the best, most cost-effective investment solutions.
Once those solutions are identified, Don obtains the appropriate investment products to meet his clients' needs quickly, efficiently, and economically through a full range of market and trading channels. He monitors his clients' investment portfolios and the markets at large to recommend adjustments to each client's strategy and keep them moving towards their goals.
Don worked for Smith Barney for 11 years before joining Umpqua Investments. He holds Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses, as well as Series 9 and 10 supervisory licenses. Don is also a credited NASD arbitrator and holds life and health insurance licenses.
Don attended both Northwest Nazarene College and University of Oregon. He lives in Coos Bay, Oregon and is married with one son. He is active with the Salmon and Trout Enhancement Programs on the South Coast, is Vice-Chairman of the Port of Coos Bay Marine Reserves Working Group, and sits on the board of Kids Fish Free, a nonprofit 50c3 devoted to providing fishing equipment free to area disadvantaged youth.
