Dan is a Senior Vice-President and has been an investment advisor since 1980. His overall objective is to help clients become, and remain, financially independent through all types of economic conditions. This process begins with a thorough analysis of circumstances and goals. Portfolios are structured based on this analysis, then managed for the appropriate rate of return commensurate with prudent risk tolerance.
As a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Certified Financial Planner, Dan has the technical training to complement 28 years of experience in managing investment portfolios. He started his career with Merrill Lynch, and later joined Prudential Securities and Smith-Barney, before moving his investment practice to Umpqua Investments. His greatest professional accomplishments are developing long-term relationships and watching clients reach their investment goals.
As a life-long Northwesterner, Dan grew up in Alaska and earned a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Oregon. In his free time he enjoys travel, athletics, and coaching youth basketball. Dan and his wife Andrea have been married for 27 years and have two daughters.
